The Necromancer by Michael Scott
Reviewed by Deon The Necromancer, a book by Michael Scott, brings history to life. The book starts with Sophie and Josh Newman at their grandma’s house with their newly awakened magic powers. Sophie gets kidnapped by Aoife, Scathach’s sister; because Aoife thinks they did something to Scathach. Josh goes to Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel, who he just abandoned, and asks them to help him. They go to a boat that belongs to Niten. They all sort things out and go to Prometheus, the god of fire, to teach Josh the magic of fire. Josh gets hypnotized by Mars Ultor to go to Dr. John Dee’s house at Enoch Enterprises. Dee used Josh to awaken a foul serpent beast. His plan is to push Josh into the square of swords so the beast can feed. Aoife jumps on the back of the beast but you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens next.
I liked how the author brought out the characters feelings it you brings you more into the story and also explains more. I also liked how the author gave you an amazing description of the characters appearance and traits.
I recommend this book to any fantasy story lovers that also like suspense and a little history. If you like this book look for The Alchemyst, Magician, and Sorceress. There will be other books in this series. These are also nail-chewer books. You will not be able to put this book down and I promise that.
